Cool show, hadn't seen it. The Alex Jones doc. is typical Alex Jones. The guy does great research and covers stories that no one else will, but then mucks it up with his strong-man posturing and outrageous unsupported claims. Still, a valuable resource at times.

This book is awesome, lots of interesting genealogical research and some truly insane theories informed by Springmeier's Christian beliefs. I don't think it's in the book but he also claimed that there was an Illuminati slave-state on the moon.

Of course supporters will say that this was just persecution because Springmeier knew too much etc. but honestly I think it's more likely that the guy is a bit of a wingnut who chose to act on his rather kooky beliefs, or at least allowed himself to be embroiled in the whole situation... Then again I've never been too into conspiracy theory.

Springmeier is definitely a kook, but an awesome kook. His claims about Al Gore being addicted to blood are hilarious. I don't buy into any of that Satanic cult stuff. I get the impression that Alex Jones believes that the Illuminati is a demonic enterprise as well. People take talk of the Illuminati/NWO etc. too literally, but of course the most powerful people in the world broker deal with each other that don't represent the interests of the masses. It's all very entertaining to me to speculate about what goes on though.

I certainly understand how writing like that could be amusing in a total insanity sort of way.

I always cringe to find out the motives behind these things because they're pretty much invariably annoying. This guy just seems to have been into the Batman movies or something?

I think he was pissed off at all the fair weather fans at the movie acting like they know it all and he's like "Wtf the Court of Owls just ended and nobody is talking about the new 52?!"

In the meantime, had a couple cool beers and I'm now about to walk to one of two bars I'm aware of in IL that you can smoke in while drinking the everyday special, Blatz for $2 a can.
