Me and a friend have started a small label here in Brazil (http://meia-vida.bandcamp.com and http://selomeiavida.blogspot.com — soon more information in english). First we're trying to release noise and related stuff from ourselves and our friends, but we're also planning to release any good material that fits the label's concepts.
The thing is that we couldn't find other formats than 60 minutes cassette tapes in my country (and even those cost like U$ 1,50 each). The first releases were only c60s, single-sided or not, but it's really a mess to put a 10 (or 15, or 20... etc) minutes release in a 60 minutes tape. To make CD-Rs is too much of a work for a result we don't like a lot. Moving on to real CD or vinyl copies is unthoughtful beacuse of the costs... Unfortunately the only way we see of going on with the label is to order the tapes online, but we don't know any sites that ship to Brazil.
I would like to ask: someone here ever ordered tapes at http://tapes.com? this site is still sending tapes, the quality is reliable, etc? Could anyone make an order for me, receive the tapes and send them to Brazil? I assume all shipping and buying costs and i'm willing to pay for the "redirection" if needed. Not necessarily the tapes have to come from tapes.com (I would also appreciate some other channel for getting copies).
If someone agrees, I will be really thankful and glad to send you some copies if you like!
If anyone wants some info about the label/next releases just tell me.
