Yeah I always felt like if you were really going to make a moral choice and continue eating meat, hunting and fishing would be the way to go. After all they're still living a social life in their natural state, and being killed for food is a natural ending to a life. Obviously if you're against all consumption you won't agree, but it sounds like sound logic to me.

being against all consumption is a stance taken from a position of privilege and, while it is admirable as such, it doesn't hold water when your living situation doesn't allow it. I'm against hard-line statements of black and white morality, especially when they differ from mine.

You sound like a college student. And no one has been making any statements of moral judgement here that I've noticed.

The irony is that he seems to be criticizing privileged rhetoric associated with college students. I assume his final statement of "especially if the differ from mine" shows a certain nonchalance though. I agree there hasn't been any morality pushing.

im a vegetarian but only because of the taste and not for any abstract moral stance.call me a cynic but anyone who claims to be vegetarian along some moral principle is deceiving themselves. Most people do it for social reasons and that's okay, or the idea that they are taking a moral stance makes them feel better about their stupid lives. the end.

this is definitely true for most cases. some people actually convince themselves they're saving mother earth and although it's true, eating vegetables over meat majority of the time does help the environment but it's not only that...the only way to truly make a dent is to organically grow your own vegetables... now that's real local food. i don't eat fish and other meat you can hunt but i have no problem with that.

I'm against hunting unless you run up to the elk and strangle it with your bare hands, otherwise its cheating.

vegetarian for some time. motivation would be that i just didnt like the taste of animals and nowdays its just a habit. dont know what i would think of it if i ate it today, can barely remember the taste. have always wanted to try human meat though.
what do you people think about the use of dead animals and blood in live performances then?

if anyone here likes vegan treats i'll be selling some online soon. it's called crypt cocoa (haha) and there will be organic, raw, paleo-friendly, fair trade selections of cocoa bars, snaps, and chunks. 100% vegan, rich, bold and not for the weak. below is a photo of the "unholy pure cane cocoa snaps" that will be offered. this one in particular goes hand in hand with medium craft beers!
